See How We Repair Windows Across the Cleveland–Akron Area
Over the years, we’ve worked on windows in homes and commercial properties throughout Northeast Ohio, and no
two jobs are exactly the same. Some need new glass, some need damaged wood repaired, and others need a closer
look before deciding whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
This portfolio is a look at that work and the kinds of problems we deal with every day.
A lot of the windows in this portfolio came to us because someone had already been told they needed replacing. Once we had the window apart, the problem was often much smaller: a failed insulated glass unit, rot confined to the bottom of a sash, worn hardware or one damaged section of frame.
That is the kind of work you will find here. Our projects include foggy window repair, broken and insulated glass replacement, wood window repair, sill and frame work, door repairs and complete replacements when the existing window was no longer worth saving.
The portfolio also shows how much the work changes from one property to another. We have handled original wood windows and newer window systems while doing window repair in Cleveland, and the projects from Akron window repair cover everything from glass failures to structural repairs. They are part of the work Apex Window Werks has been doing across the Cleveland–Akron area since 2016, supported by our workshop in Oakwood.
The finished photo is only one part of a window repair. What matters more is figuring out what actually failed and how much of the existing window can still do its job. Fog between panes usually leads us to the sealed glass unit, while a soft sill, loose sash or frame that has moved out of square takes the repair in a completely different direction.
You can see that difference throughout the projects below. A window repair in North Olmsted may involve preserving an existing wood window, while window repair in Twinsburg can mean correcting frame damage or replacing only the part that has failed. When the glass is the problem, replacing the pane or insulated unit can often leave the sash, frame, trim and surrounding opening untouched. When deterioration has gone too far, full window replacement becomes the sensible answer.
That is why the projects are useful beyond the before-and-after pictures. They show what we found once we looked closely and how we decided what was worth keeping. If you have a similar window problem, call 440-496-7415 or send photos through the virtual estimate form and we can start with a first look.
